Lhamo Lhatso Trek - Trekking in Tibet
Trip Code: LL (14 days in Tibet, 6 days in Nepal)
The Lhamo Lhatso Trek is one of the most sacred and spiritual journeys in Tibet. It is
also a geographic delight as the trek leads from high passes to the lush
alpine country of wild flowers, nomad camps, and high desert meadows, before
entering the spiritual world of the sacred Lhamo Lhatso Lake. This region is scattered
with many important gompas and monasteries, including the complex of Samye. Built in
the early 8th century, Samye is believed to be the oldest monastery in Tibet
