Annapurna Circuit - Trekking in Nepal
Trip Code: AC (21 days in Nepal)
Annapurna Circuit Trekking is one of the great walks in Nepal as it
passes through a variety of Himalayan environments. The trek begins
in the lush Marsyangdi Valley, home to the Hindu farming families of
Brahmin, Chhetri and Gurung tribes, and enters the dry, arid region
of Manang inhabited by Buddhist Manangis of Tibetan origin. It also
reveals some of the most beautiful mountains like Annapurna II (7,937m),
Gangapurna (7,485m) and Tilicho Peak (7,134m). This trip provides the
experience of both the scenic and ethnic diversity of Nepal with the
added excitement of crossing the Thorung La Pass (5,416m). Then to
descend and walk through the world's deepest gorge 'The
Kali Gandaki', which splits the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna massifs towering
6,000 meters above.
GRADE D (Strenuous):16
days of strenuous trekking at high elevation (max. 5,416m). 15 nights camping
- 5 nights hotel. Annapurna Circuit Trekking is challenging and requires you are very fit
and have previous high elevation hiking experience. It involves several days of trekking
at high altitude and the risk of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), or commonly known as high altitude sickness.
